Job Description
Position Summary:
Monitor safety and environmental/hazardous waste management programs to ensure compliance with regulations. These programs promote the safety and well-being of employees and the community. They include training, ergonomic improvements, safety/environmental awareness, audits/inspections, team/committee leadership, and risk/hazard analysis.
You will report to the EHS Manager.
Essential Functions:
Implement our environmental safety programs, monitors and ensure compliance and implementation of applicable EHS regulations (ISO 14001).
Maintain inventory of safety equipment, conduct periodic safety inspections, oversee hazardous waste disposal providers, and may help consolidate hazardous waste.
Conduct emergency response and hazardous material handling and recommend corrective action where environmental health and safety hazards exist.
Verify equipment inventory and perform periodic safety inspections; also manage hazardous waste disposal providers.
Help prepare and help consolidate hazardous waste for disposal.
Coordinate emergency brigades and safety committee; in addition to perform the emergency response and handling of hazardous materials.
Support the translation, implementation and monitoring of environmental and safety procedures; and assist facilities with ISO 14001 programs and procedures.
Minimum Requirements:
Two-year college degree, career such in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical) or other related or equivalent EHS experience.
One year of experience in the EHS area.
Manage PC (Microsoft Office).
Intermediate level of English.
